João Augusto Toste, 76, of Mississauga, sadly passed away on June 2, 2023 at the age of 76 from complications related to cancer. João was born on March 9, 1947 in Villa de São Sebastião, Terceira, Açores to parents João Borges Toste and Maria Augusta Estrela and is survived by his wife, Ines, children, Delanie (Luis), Kimberly (Brian) and Jason (Kristina), as well as five grandchildren: Ethan, Kassia, Kaden, Isla and Karson. After moving to Canada from Terceira island in 1972, João would go on to work over 40 years in construction until his retirement at the age of 65. In retirement, he would spend his days close to his family, especially his loving grandchildren.
