João Antonio Aranha

July 22, 1934 - January 15, 2025

Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, at the age of 90.

He was the devoted husband of Silvina and the loving father of Maria João.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., on Monday, January 20, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The interment will follow at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in João’s memory may be made to the St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation.

Such a good man. Was always like a father. 1 of the best men i ever met. I will always remember him for his tight grip on my arm everytime he saw me, sometimes it hurt but i always knew it wasn't intentional. I'll never forget how wonderful of a person he was to me.
