In Celebration of

Joan Patrice Hill (née Kellam)

December 4, 1951 - January 13, 2022

Joan is survived by her beloved partner, David Butler, and her loving sons, Ryan, and Sean. She is sadly missed by David’s sons, Dave (Jonelle), Eric (Emily) and grandchildren, Amelia, Avery, Thea, and Aiden.
Joan was predeceased by her parents, Frederick (Ted) Gordon Kellam and Edith Eileen Kellam to whom she was devoted. She credits her parents for her love of family, her ethics, and her commitment. Joan is survived by her sisters, Janice Davidson, and Marcia Rutland.
Joan adored her sons, Ryan, and Sean, and was proud of the men they had become, following their individual passions with focus and hard work.
In David, she discovered her best friend and amazing life partner. Joan and David were deeply connected and “all in” on everything.
Joan was fiercely dedicated to her close circle of friends. Her sense of humor complemented with a glass wine (or two) contributed to many joyous hours. Despite her self-deprecating comments about her kitchen competence, she and David threw memorable parties.
Joan was a caring, empathetic person who generously shared her expertise and time in helping others become successful personally and professionally. Her love of learning led her to establish a successful consulting and training practice, CORE Consulting Inc. Under her leadership CORE won numerous awards. Her colleagues and clients benefited tremendously from her mentoring, coaching and friendship.
Joan’s legacy is the lasting impact she had on others, inspiring them to continuously learn, challenge themselves, and become their best.
Cremation has taken place. In her honour, put on some bling, pour a glass of wine, and share some laughter.
