Joan Evelyn Kennedy

February 24, 1932 -  March 7, 2023


KENNEDY, Mrs. Joan Evelyn, daughter of the late Evelyn Lynch and Robert Clyde Thurlow. After a brief illness, passed peacefully on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in her 92nd year. Devoted wife of the late Raymond. Loving mother of Bob and his wife Karen, Mark, and Tod and his wife Jacqui. Dear grandmother of Dylan, Brendan (Bailey), Casey and Carter. Pre-deceased by her daughter Liane, and sister, Carol Douglas. Joan was an avid tennis player and enjoyed travelling, playing bridge with her friends, old movies, and music.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Peel” Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N. of Q.E.W) on Saturday March 25, 2023 from 2-3 p.m. followed by a service in the chapel at 3 p.m.

For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Trillium Health Partners-Palliative Care or Canadian Cancer Society.

Joan was a lovely friend with a sparkling personality. Her positive attitude inspired those who were fortunate enough to know her. She was also a joy to play tennis with - a great accomplished player. I will miss her. Sincerest condolences to all the family.
