We are saddened to announce the passing of our mother, Joan Elizabeth Young (nee Fraser). Joan was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 25, 2025, with her family by her side.

Born on November 24, 1933, near Prescott Ontario, Joan lived a long and happy life, full of love, compassion and dedication to her family. Joan was predeceased by her husband of 60 yrs E.H. (Red) Young. She will be deeply missed by her 4 children, Jane (Joe), Marie (Arne), Barb (Pat), and Ron (Róisín), her 7 grandchildren Brigitte, Jason, Kari, Erin (Michael), Patricia (Paul), Kimberly, and Angela, and her 6 great grandchildren Sterling, Wyatt, Janessa, Braylon, Ronan and Rosalie.

A memorial service to celebrate Joan’s life will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 with a visitation at 1 pm, followed by a service at 2 pm.

Above all else, Joan loved her family. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you hug your family and share the love that our mother felt for us.
