I first met Jill when we were 12 years old and in the same grade 7 class. We instantly became best friends. I shared so many laughs and wonderful memories with Jill over the years. Laughing hysterically when we went as siamese twins for Halloween in grade 8, travelling to Florida in grade 13...Quebec City...all the times at her cottage and mine and friends cottages...and a few times even getting in trouble together! I will miss her terribly and still cannot believe she is gone. My sincere condolences to Steve, Jackson, Miles and Jade. As well as Mr and Mrs Karch, Don & Kathy, Tom and extended families. My heart is breaking along with yours. Jill has left us way too soon but my memories of her will always make me smile. Love you Jill. Rest in peace. ❤❤❤

Jill was born Christmas Day, 1964. A gift to the world. Growing up as the youngest of 3 children of Chris and Christine in Scarborough.
In high school Jill excelled in academics and sports. She was recognized as high athlete of the year and was her graduating class valedictorian.
Jill attended Queens University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree (Physiotherapy). She made lifelong friends in this program.
After working in her field for several years Jill took on a new challenge after being accepted to the MBA program at Western University in 1992. This was yet another exciting time. A great many new friends entered Jill’s life during her two years studying at Western, starting with her study group, JF, Morgan, Graham and Greg “the Machine”. Jill connected with many, many others in this program, often from other sections. She recalled to me many times that during the graduation Gala in 1994 she pretty much cried for the entire evening. 🙂
After graduating Jill moved back to Toronto and managed several clinics for the Canadian Back Institute, combining her business and Physio skills.
I met Jill in1995 through my dear friend Andrea Buzza. Jill was Andrea’s new roommate. She initially didn’t take much of a liking to me but as we spent more time together our attraction and courtship blossomed. We were engaged in 1998 and married in Thornhill in 1999 with all our dearest friends and family in attendance.
We settled in our one and only home in Lorne Park (Mississauga) in 1999. Three incredible, beautiful children joined us in 2000, 2002 and 2004. Jackson, Miles and Jade became the centre of our universe and Jill led the charge as the most loving and dedicated mother anyone could imagine. Many have said Jill beamed when speaking of her kids and their activities. I witnessed this first hand and shared in her pride.
Reasonably early on with the three kids, Jill and I decided to be a “ski family”. Each of our kids first got on skis at age three. We spent the bulk of our family weekends for over 10 years as members of Holimont Ski Club in Ellicottville, NY. These years were among the most enjoyable and rewarding of all of our years together.
To be continued......
