In Celebration of

Jean Tremayne

May 28, 1922 -  December 17, 2018

Lucy Jean Tremayne (nee Lefeaver)
1922 –2018

Jean passed away peacefully on December 17th in her 97th year. She is lovingly remembered by her five children Susan (Clifford Moon), Carol, Michael (Lynn), Lisa (Phillip Jones) and John (Vicki), her cherished thirteen grandchildren Andrew, Kalin, David, Karen, Laura, Emily, Kirsten, Christopher, Ian, Alex, James, Cecilly and Stuart and her sister Betty Allen. Her devoted husband of 62 years, the late James Douglas Tremayne, predeceased her.

Jean ran a busy household but was also able to make time for friends and a wide variety of hobbies. She loved her gardens, was an avid ballroom dancer, a keen bridge player, an active participant in her church and loved to while away the hours knitting or sewing. Her favourite activities centred on her large family.

The family wishes to thank the staff at The Village of Humber Heights who always treated her with respect and kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Saints Kingsway.

A visitation will be held on Sunday December 23rd from 12:30 p.m. at All Saints Kingsway Anglican Church, 2850 Bloor Street West, with the service to follow at 1 pm. A reception will be held following the service.

Dear Susan, Carol, Michael, Lisa and John,

Lynne informed us of the recent news of your Mom's passing. Merike and I and family wish to send along our sincere condolences to you and your families.
Aunt Jean was always a pleasure to be with and we shared many happy moments in our earlier years. Fond memories return at this time of the year, when we all gathered at Millbank Avenue to celebrate Christmas. Unfortunately we will be unable to attend the service as we are with our family in Vancouver but know that you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Sympathy to the family. We were neighbors from when I was in late public school to grade 13.
