Passed away peacefully at Kipling Acres Long-Term Care Home in her 95th year. Loving wife of the late Arthur Mosher (d. March 30, 2024), and loving mother of Steven (Gerry Wiggett), Teri (Rick Lennon), Glenn, and Kimberley (Robert Freestone), grandmother of Valerie, Heather (Jeff Bias), James and Michael (Nora Weatherston). Great-grandmother of Jude, Jay, and Ava. Born in Etobicoke Township and raised there and in York Township, she worked at Bell Telephone, York Board of Education, Sunbeam Electric, and Allied Chemical. She married Arthur Mosher in September 1953 at Humbercrest United Church and raised their family in Etobicoke Township, in Pakistan (1964-1967), and in the Borough of Etobicoke. In 1968, Mom and Dad bought a home in Etobicoke (Markland Wood), where they lived until 2015. Mom worked hard as a homemaker and showed a great deal of love to her husband and children. She was also involved in charitable work, including as head of the local United Church Explorers at Bloordale United Church, driving elderly patients to hospital appointments, and making deliveries for Meals on Wheels. After they sold their home in 2015, Mom and Dad lived at Scarlett Heights Retirement Residence and later at Kipling Acres Long-Term Care Home. The Mosher family wishes to thank the staff of Kipling Acres for their care and kindness to Mom for the past 16 months. Visitation will take place at Turner and Porter (Yorke Chapel), 2357 Bloor St. West (at Windermere Ave.), on Sat., November 30, 2024, at 2:00 pm, with a Memorial Service to begin at 3:00 pm on that day. Refreshments will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
