In Celebration of

Jean (Janina) Nowak

March 17, 1925 -  October 29, 2024

JEAN (Janina) Irena Goldyn NOWAK, aged 99.6, years young! Passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith and love.

A deeply religious woman, for decades she was a dedicated member of the St. Casimir's Church Ladies Rosary Group. Jean always found her greatest joy in the garden and also looked forward to collecting shells on the beaches of Florida each winter.

Originating from war torn Poland, Jean lived in the Polish community of the Roncesvalles area of Toronto for 63 years before moving to Midland with her kids for the last eight years of her life. She was predeceased in 2014 by her beloved husband of 69 years, Walter (Wladyslaw) and in 1995 by her daughter Helen Michelle.

When asked the secret to her longevity, she always referred to the benefits of the "fresh air" of Georgian Bay, but we all know her strong work ethic and the constant need to be “kept busy“ were the primary contributing factors!

"Babcia" will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Kristina (Philip), as well as her grandchildren, Jennifer and Robert (Victoria).

Her spirit, strength, and determination will continue to inspire all who knew her.
