In Celebration of

Jean Cruikshank

May 23, 1934 -  June 4, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Jean Cruikshank on Thursday, June 4th, 2020. Jean was
the beloved wife of the late Gordon Cruikshank and mother
to Susan (Ron), Alan (predeceased) and Lynn (Mike).

Loving and fun Nana to Kristen, Bryan (Lauren), Nicole
(Billy), Britany (Tommy), Joshua, Jared and G.G. to
Victoria. She will be sadly missed by her brother Ken
(Jean) and best friend and sister Joy and all her nieces
and nephews. She will be reunited with her sister Dolly
and brother Doug (Penny).

Jean’s passions were her children and hosting family
parties. She also took great pleasure in hosting tea parties
with her wonderful neighbours.

Due to the pandemic, instead of a funeral, we ask that
everyone have a cup of tea in honour of mom.

For those wishing to make a donation on behalf of Jean, please do
so to the Trillium Health Partners Foundation or the
Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.

Sometimes you just get a special connection with someone. I felt that way about Aunt Jean. She was an intelligent, witty, funny lady who stood strong. I will always remember her especially at Christmas. We always stayed in touch over the years. Rest in peace sweet lady. My condolences to the Cruikshank family.

My Deepest Sympathies to all of the Family. I remember years ago when I took my vacation in the Summer and stayed with Aunt Bertha in Long Branch. Your mother always arranged an outing for the four of us including your Grandmother, Sister Jean and myself. We always went to some place I had not seen and afterwards for a nice meal. I had such a good time every Summer with Jean and family on our outings.

You will miss her dearly, but remember she is in a better place now.

Love Cousin Joan
