Horst Jann

January 12, 1926 - June 21, 2022

The family is heartbroken to announce the passing of Horst Ernst Emil Jann, at Trillium Health Partners Mississauga Hospital on Wednesday, June 21, 2022 at the age of 96.

Beloved husband of Ilse for 69 years. Loving father of Deborah. Devoted grandfather to Isabelle and Peter Tomasek.

Horst was born in Berlin, Germany. When he was not working as a machinist with Anaconda (Arrowhead), you could find him playing tennis or skat.

Horst will be remembered for his fun-loving sense of humour, kindness and positive outlook.

Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held later this summer. If desired, donations may be made to Trillium Health Partners.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Horst's passing. He was a wonderful man, friend, tennis and chess player. He was my partner at Swansea and Applewood Tennis Clubs where he played well into his eighties. Amazing! God bless you.
