In Celebration of
Janice Lorraine King
June 4, 1954 - August 2, 2024
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Janice King announce her sudden passing. Janice peacefully passed away at her home in Mississauga on August 2nd, 2024 at the age of 70 years old. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Stefanie, her brother Archie (Eileen), niece Natalie, great niece Emma, nephew Daniel; as well as her numerous extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents Hilda (2010) and Ernest King (1984), her husband Michael King (2006).
With the passing of her father, Ernest, Janice took on the role of Administrator of King Nursing Home in 1984. In the 40 years of running the Home, she took tremendous pride of her staff's dedication to their residents. Jan became an industry leader and advocate for the elderly. She was truly passionate about everyone at King Nursing Home whom she felt were her extended family. Jan developed many lifelong friendships from work and treasured the stories residents would share of their lives.
Jan was a very giving person with a big heart. She adored animals and was a soft touch for any stray. Over the years, Jan always had cats or dogs roaming her house delighting her with their antics. She had a laugh which truly lit up a room and radiated joy. You couldn't help but smile in return when hearing her boisterous chuckle and often one would find themselves delighted by her quick wit. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
A private service will be held honouring Janice's wishes. We would like to thank everyone during this time of grief whom have reached out with their condolences.
