With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ivan Welykanycz. On May 24th, 2023 at the age of 97 he passed peacefully at home with family by his side. Ivan leaves behind his 4 sons ( Wlodko (Genia) Jaroslaw (Maria) Bohdan (Ivanka) & Andriy (Jadwiga) as well as 9 grandchildren: Ania ( Lukasz) Ewa (Kamil) Peter (Malgorzata), Kamil (Marta) Justyna(Mark) Ulana (Adrian) Andrijka (Kyle), Simon , Nina & 12 great grandchildren: Daniel, Emilia, Ariana, Adrian, Ruby, Krystian , Mateo, Maya, Izabella , Marco, Eliya & Luka.

He will now reunite with his beloved wife Anna Welykanycz.

Viewing will be held Sunday May 28, 2023 at Turner & Porter (4933 Dundas St. W.) in the Butler Chapel from 5pm-9pm with Панахида at 6pm.

Funeral will be held on Monday May 29, 2023 for 11am at the Ukrainian Sobor of the Holy Protection of the Mother of God (30 Leeds St)

Burial to follow at St Volodymyr’s cemetery in Oakville.
