James Tesoro

June 8, 1974 -  October 5, 2025


It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of James Philip Tesoro of Mississauga, Ontario on October 5, 2025.

James is survived by his mother Teresita Tesoro, his sister Jacqueline Rubenstein (nee Tesoro) and Todd (children Isabelle, Edward, Diana, Evan), his sister Evangeline Brouwer (nee Tesoro) and David McAree, and his brother Joseph Tesoro and Angie (children Adriana, Samuel, and Lucas).

James’ enthusiasm for life showed especially through his pursuit of culinary art, excellence in hospitality with memorable stories, a deep love of sharing everything from exceptional fine dining to classic home cooking.

He has held senior level positions including Executive Chef with some of the finest establishments -The Granite Club, Canoe, Centro, The Old Mill, Holiday Inn Yorkdale to name a few.

Visitation will be held at Turner & Porter 'Peel' Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N of QEW), on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 6-8 p.m.

A celebration of James’ life will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 11 Peter St. South, Mississauga, on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.

James, your brother called me today to let me know that you've left us. You were a part of that inner family friend circle back in the day at Kirwin, and our moms were so tight as well. Your departure marks fragments of my childhood that leaves with you.

I hope you are at peace and no longer in any discomfort.

And my deepest and most profound condolences to Tita Tessie, Jackie, Vangie and Joe and their families.
