In Celebration of

James Lawrence (Jim) Fulton

January 8, 1957 -  February 15, 2023

A true star passed away suddenly around noon on February 15, very peacefully, age 66. The cause was heart failure. James Lawrence (Jim) Fulton, born on January 8, 1957 leaves behind his wife Jenny, and his daughters Susan and Angelina, both of whose intelligence he enthusiastically praised. He was a very proud dad who deeply loved his girls. As well, Jim leaves behind a large raft of devoted family and loyal friends.

Jim was epic, always at the center of the action; somehow often in the eye of the storm.

No wall-flower Jim, he was a lover and a fighter, a wit and wag, a clown and a commander, a mimic and a muse, a song-writer and a singer, a raconteur, a rascal, and so many more awesome things.

Jim grew up the second son of a happy family in Etobicoke. He was an excellent golfer and hockey player, also a daring skier. He loved cards, especially euchre and poker, and often enjoyed a day out betting on the ponies with his crew.

Graduating from U of T, he went on to an exciting and successful career at the TSE, progressing to the pro-trading desk at Dominion Securities, later taken over by RBC. For Jim, it was the gig of a lifetime, perfectly suited to his swift analytical mind, in tune with the thrill of the inherent risks and rewards.

Jim had a strong spiritual nature, and prayed often. I hope Jim is praying for us now. Please pray for Jim, pray that our Maker holds Jim gently in His hands.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 at Turner and Porter, Yorke Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3055 Bloor St, W., on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow on Wednesday February 22, 2023 at Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery (305 Erskine Ave, Toronto, ON)

My condolences to the family. So shocking when somebody leaves so soon. Such a great and fun guy. Such a sense of humour. I will always remember Vermont ski trip so long ago. May he rest in peace.
