Dear Janet, Peter, Ron and Gillian
Mark and I send our sincere condolences to you on the loss of a wonderful man. ‘Uncle’ Jim and ‘aunt jean together brought so much joy to our family and many happy memories from the Peterborough to Toronto area days which we will always cherish. I want to think that there is one big celebration taking place in heaven now that the four of them are once again together. Our sympathies go out to you all. Love Mark and Linda
Dear Janet and Peter,
I have so many special memories of your dad, given the long friendship he and your mum had with my parents. I remember how he was always able to make us laugh, how he never seemed to be in a bad mood, the times when we all lived in the same place (Montreal West and Mossgrove Trail), the fun we had at our cottage when we were kids, how he would always tell you and I, Janet, of how he and dad would take us out in our strollers when we were just babies! He was loved and will be missed but is now a peace and with your mum. My deepest sympathies to both of you.
Janet, Ron, Gillian and Peter. Greg and I send our deepest sympathies to you all. Just thinking of your Dad brings a smile to my face. Our families had some wonderful times together ... before we came on the scene the four adults developed a strong friendship that would last for years and provided many memories. JKA was very special to this JKA and will always be remembered with love. Hugs, Janet and Greg.
Janet and Ron:
We were so sorry to hear about your dad's passing. We will always remember the fun we had as university students when we would visit with you at Jim & Jean's house. Never have Royal Doulton dogs held such fond memories than at the Ashman's house!
Cherish the memories you have of your parents. They were indeed special people.

Sorry to hear of the passing of a wonderful man. I really respected him and always enjoyed reporting to Jim as my boss at Blacks.
I will always have fond memories of Jim!
Our deepest sympathies to his loving family!
