I wrote this for his mom earlier today. Memories of my child hood friend have come flooding back to me. Shooting of baseball cards up against the house, playing ball hockey in the street, playing nichy-nicky nine doors on our poor unsuspecting neighbours, getting our first two-wheelers together at Christmas, sharing a six-pack of beer, hot dogs on the bbq - those were good times. He was my first friend. I feel a little like I’m in that scene at the end of the movie Stand By Me where Richard Dreyfus is reflecting on his boy hood chums and learns of the death of one of them.
I am so, so sorry to learn of Jim’s passing. He was one-of-a-kind. That beautiful smile, the welcoming greeting when you saw him, and always a kind word.
I will miss him. Please know whenever I think of him it will always be with a smile and a chuckle as I think back to those beautiful days of our youth.
Love and my profound condolences to you and the entire family. Frank McKitterick

Dear Susan and Family:
We are so sorry to hear this sad news about Jim. We enjoyed his kindness and sense of humour at many events back in the FPSC days. We also know how much he loved you and your family. Although there are no words, may your memories warm your heart at these most difficult times.

I have known Jim for over 50+ years. We shared the good times and the bad. Jim had a great sense of humor, a compassionate heart, generous soul and was a great storyteller. The thought that he has left us breaks my heart. I will cherish the memories forever.
Sincere condolences to the family.
Love, Jan
Dear Susan and family. I know there are no words that I can say to fill the hole in your hearts. Your cherished memories and the laughs you have had will make you smile again one day but for now just know so many are thinking of you and wishing they could ease your pain.
My thoughts are with you and your family.
Michele
