In Celebration of

James Edward Watson

July 20, 1928 -  October 25, 2019

Our beloved family member, Jim Watson passed Peacefully on Friday October 25, 2019, at Silverthorn Community Care, at the age of 91. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Doie, and his loving children Sandy (Jim) and Scott (Carol). The love that surrounded only grew over the years, leaving behind also three grandchildren whom he adored, and whom adored him; Michael (Siobhan), Evan (Nicole), Alana, as well as four great-grandchildren Ava, Ryan, Liam and Noah. Jim was a family man, but also a dedicated long time employee of Atlantic Packaging, who made his family proud. Jim’s happy place was the cottage where lifelong friends and family gathered. He enjoyed his time golfing and boating in the summer, and cross-country skiing in the winter. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter “Peel” Chapel 2180 Hurontario St. Mississauga (Hwy 10 N of Q.E.W) on Saturday, November 9 – 1pm to 4pm.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.

Our condolences to you all. Jim was a kind, gentle soul and true gentleman. I enjoyed working with him Atlantic from 1981 when I started until his retirement. One of the original sales team members who paved the way for many others.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Always a sad time to lose one so close.
May the deep connection to your father, the subliminal strength and guidance always provided help to assuage the loss and emptiness felt now. Your memories of him will balance out the pain.
Colleen and I cannot visit with you today but know our thoughts and prayers are with you and the whole family.
We will donate to the Alzheimer’s society in your Dad’s name.
