In Celebration of

James "Jim" Edmund Browne

June 13, 1949 -  April 18, 2023

On April 18, 2023, James "Jim" Browne passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the age of 73.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie, daughter, Samantha, son, Joshua (Paige), and sisters Shirley-Anne (Peter), and Susan (Victor); also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was predeceased by his loving sister, Sally.

Jim lived a rich and fulfilling life and left a lasting impact on everyone who he met through his friendly and caring personality. Starting at CP Air and concluding at Air Canada, he had a long 45 year career in the airline industry, where he loved meeting and helping passengers throughout his many mornings at the airport. Jim loved all sports, especially playing basketball, baseball, and football, highlighted by a championship at the 1973 Vanier Cup. Jim then continued sharing his passion for sports with his children as the coach on many of their teams.

"Dad, you are #86 in our programs, but will always be #1 in our hearts."

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Acclaim Health or the Alzheimer's Society, both of which helped Jim and Stephanie navigate through Jim's journey with dementia.
