Jadwiga Szydlowski

October 18, 1926 -  April 5, 2025

Jadwiga Szydlowski, age 98, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Jadwiga lived a long and full life marked by grace, resilience, and strength.

Born in 1926, Jadwiga witnessed nearly a century of change and growth, meeting life’s joys and challenges with steady determination. She was known for her deep kindness, her sharp wit, and the warmth she shared with everyone who knew her. Jadwiga had a passion for family traditions, storytelling, and simple pleasures—whether that was tending to her garden, baking her famous placek, or offering wise words over a cup of tea.

Jadwiga's legacy lives on in the lives she touched, especially in her children, grandchild, and great-grandchildren, who carry forward the values and love she instilled in them.

Jadwiga is survived by her children, Jack and Grace. Her grandson, Mark and great-grandchildren, Jason and Daniel.

She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.

A viewing service will be held to honor Jadwiga’s life April 13th from 6:00PM to 9:00PM Turner and Porter 2180 Hurontario St. Mississauga, Peel Chapel. Mass will be held at St Maximilian Kolbe parish on Monday April 14th at 11:00AM at 4260 Cawthra Rd. Mississauga.

May she rest in peace.
