We have the fondest memories of Jackie and especially over the many summers in Cloyne.
A kinder more generous soul has never graced this earth. Rest in peace Jackie, you will be missed.

Marti, Doug Jr. and Doug Sr.; I’m so sad to hear of Jackie’s passing. I have very fond memories of Jackie making me feel so welcome in the Philp home way back in 1983. Greg and I were working at Lake Louise at the time, and when I told Greg that I’d be heading home to Etobicoke for Christmas, he suggested that I go to his home to make mixed tapes from his vast record collection to share when I got back to Lake Louise. Jackie set me up in the basement by the stereo, and she made me feel that I could stay as long as I liked (during my visit, she looked forward to hearing first-hand news of her beloved Greg, of course). Know that I’m thinking of you all during this very difficult time. - Mike Coleman.

My Aunt Jackie to me had to be the most worldly and educated women I knew. I loved getting to spend time with her. If I close my eyes I can still hear her voice and to me that is a memory I will keep close to me forever.

Dear Marti, Doug Jr. and Doug Sr. and to all your family - we are so sad to hear of Jackie’s passing. We have so many wonderful memories of Jackie from relaxing times spent at Jackie & Doug's cottage, fun times at Marti's parties and good times while on holiday in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. Jackie was full of positive energy, so easy to talk with and laugh with. So generous and kind, she loved to be around people. She had the biggest heart, a constant smile, big welcoming hugs and the kindest eyes. Jackie will be very missed by all who knew her and loved her. Xo
