September 6, 1932 - February 19, 2024

Passed away at Dom Lipa Nursing Home on February 19, 2024 in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Mirko (2011). Cherished mother of John Jurman and Eleonora (Ante) Ratkovic. Adored Nonna of John (Stefany), Nicole, Brandon, and Justin. A Beloved “Nonna Nina” to her great-granddaughter, Amaleia. She is survived by her siblings around the world: Riko (Maria) in Canada; Silvo (Duris) in Norway; and Gina and Silva in Croatia. A beach-lover, incredible cook, and amazing homemaker, her family will remember her sweet smile and loving heart – though they will never be able to match her world-famous gnocchi & meatballs!

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., on Tuesday, February 27th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mark’s Roman Catholic Church, 277 Park Lawn Road, on Wednesday, February 28th at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Glenview Cemetery.

My sweet Zia Nina, may you rest in eternal peace. You always made me feel so special and I wish we didn't live so far away. I'll always have all the fond memories when I was younger and spent most of the summers with you. You have reunited with your love Zio Mirko and now have peace.

Eleonora you have been such a dedicated daughter and you took such good care of your mom she's smiling at you right now , all pain is taken away and she's nowl resting in peace.
