In Celebration of

Ivana Campa

March 4, 1939 -  January 11, 2025

Ivana Čampa, age 85, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025. She is now reunited with her beloved husband of 63 years, Franc Čampa.

Born in Jurjevica, Slovenia, Ivana married the love of her life, Franc, in 1958. Together, they embarked on a remarkable journey, moving from Slovenia to Germany before starting a new chapter in Canada in 1967. Ivana’s life was a testament to hard work, resilience, and devotion to family. She worked tirelessly to create a brighter future for Franc and their three daughters—Andreja, Regina, and Michele. Her unwavering commitment to faith, family, and integrity set an inspiring example for all who knew her.

Ivana and Franc cherished their trips back to Slovenia, where they celebrated their heritage with family vacations. A gifted hostess, Ivana delighted in bringing loved ones together in her home, sharing laughter and her famous cooking. Her apple strudel, a family favorite, was as sweet as the love she poured into every dish. She also had a creative spirit, knitting cherished keepsakes like winter hats for her grandchildren, each one a labor of love.

Family was the heart of Ivana’s life. Her three daughters and their spouses—Anton, Joseph, and Philip—were as dear to her as her own children. Ivana found immense joy in her 10 grandchildren: Frank (Kristen), Matthew (Katie), Mark (Elizabeth), Jennifer (Matthew), Andrew (Shelby), Jacob, Lucas, Andrea, Daniel, and Philip, as well as her 10 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless pride and happiness.
Ivana’s legacy of love, generosity, and faith will continue to shine brightly through her family and all who were fortunate to know her.

Visitation will take place at Turner & Porter Funeral Home (Peel Chapel), 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga on Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 2- 4 & 6-8 p.m.
