With great sadness we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Ivan Strelec on March 11, 2021 in Toronto, Canada. Dear brother of Marija, cherished uncle of Susan, John, and Steve.

Ivan was born on April 17, 1948 in Croatia and spent the greater part of his life in Canada – moving between Calgary, Edmonton, Manitoba, Vancouver and finally Toronto. A machinist by trade, he worked in construction as a ceiling and drywall installer. He was passionately enthusiastic about martial arts (having been trained in karate), sports cars, politics, history and world events.

Ivan leaves behind his sisters and brothers overseas Terezija (Croatia), Ljubica (Slovenia), Stefan (Slovenia), Slavko (Croatia), Andrija (Slovenia), and Zvonko (Croatia) along with his nieces and nephews.

He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
