Ivan Stanislaus Storey

November 13, 1933 -  March 5, 2023


Ivan passed away peacefully Sunday morning at the Dorothy Ley Hospice in his 90th year. Ivan leaves behind a lasting legacy including his loving wife of 62 years, Loretta, his late daughter Mary (Peter), his sons Lester (Moira), Kevin and Keith, and his grandchildren - Sarah, David, Eric (Montana), Meaghan, Melissa, Rachel, Anthony, Simona and Giuliana - and all the RIO Club extended family members.

Ivan was born in Villupuram, India. He eventually achieved a Shop Superintendent position in the Main Assembly of the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Madras. He moved to Canada with his family in 1970 to provide a better life for them and is heralded for paving the path for other family members searching to achieve the same prosperity and happiness. Ivan will always be remembered as a man of family, faith and service. He proudly volunteered with Meals on Wheels, the St. Vincent de Paul Society, and the Out of the Cold Program.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N. of Q.E.W) on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 2-5 and 6-9 p.m.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 480 Rathburn Rd. Etobicoke.
All guests for the Funeral Mass are requested to PARK across the street at Christ the King Anglican Church, 475 Rathburn Rd, Etobicoke, ON.

The mass will be followed by the Committal at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Mississauga.

Dear Loretta and family, we are deeply sorry for your loss of Ivan, truly a lovely person, very warm hearted and cheerful man. Surely he will be greatly missed. He suffered a lot but now he is at peaceful rest and in a better place watching and praying for all of you. May all the fond memories be a comfort through your life's journey.
