It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ivan Kulić, who left this world peacefully on April 4, 2025, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his beloved family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
For 49 beautiful years, he shared his life with his cherished wife, Marija. Together, they built a family that Ivan proudly lead and that brought him great joy.
Ivan was a deeply caring father and loving grandfather. He leaves behind his daughter Ana and her husband Johnny, together with their children Ivan, Lucia, and Petar; his son Josip and wife Mandy, and their children Michael, Maxim, and Madelina; and his daughter Juliana and her husband Ajdin, along with their daughter Lea.
Ivan is predeceased by his brother Josip and sister Andjelka, survived by his brother Mirko and sister Mara in Croatia.
Ivan held a profound love for his homeland, Croatia—a country he carried in his heart long before its independence in 1991. In the mid-1960's, he made the difficult decision to leave his homeland and embarked on a journey to North America where he completed his education, forged deep relationships with fellow Croatian patriots and formed his family. He built a household of love and opportunity, while his connection to Croatia never wavered. Following Croatia's liberation after the Homeland War, he returned often with immense joy and pride.
We find comfort in knowing that through his faith, he is now at peace with a loving and eternal God. Ivan will rest in peace in Dugobabe, Croatia—the village of his birth in the land that shaped his soul.
In memory of Ivan, donations can be made which will be contributed to his churches in Mississauga and Dugobabe.
