In Celebration of

Irma Kristina Saxell

August 10, 1951 -  April 6, 2025

Irma Kristina Saxell passed away on April 6, 2025 in Toronto with friends and family nearby. Born in Åbo, Finland on August 10, 1952 Irma obtained a BA HON. in economics and math at Brock university where she was a member of the women’s rowing team.
She later attended Sheridan College for a diploma in telecommunications management, a field in which she worked for many years. She studied web design and programming at CDI College where she stayed on as a faculty assistant.
Her charitable contributions included organizations such as Twas the Bite before Christmas where she donated time and resources and met with people such as the Mayor Hazel McCallion and MPP Charles Desousa. She was always active and would participate in marathons and trail runs.
Her immense creativity and artistic talents showed up in the websites that she did for people. A few examples of which are seen in www.simplysplendidfood.com and www.goodtoseetoronto.ca which she did to help introduce ballet to children.
This shows a few of the many interests that Irma had in her lifetime and career. In leu of flowers, send a donation to the charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca.
A celebration of life will be held on May 4th from 11am to 3pm at the Palace Pier Rooftop Club, 2045 Lake Shore Blvd W., Toronto M8V 2Z6
Kindly RSVP to: osoezie@gmail.com as bldg. security regulations require a guest list.

Irma will be remembered for her kind and caring heart to all those she encountered. Irma always had a few irons in the fire at any given time and she was always up for a challenge. Irma was always full of laughter and saw possibilities in all things; she will be missed. Rest in peace sweet lady and we are glad we got to have your presence in our lives if only for a brief flash in time! Gone far too soon!
