It is with great sadness the family wishes to announce the sudden passing of Irene Kravets on Thursday, December 20, 2018. Devoted daughter to Anna and sister to Ihor. Loving wife to Michael. Caring mother to her children Andrew and Kristina and adoring grandmother to grandchildren Leo and Sofia.
She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all those whose hearts she touched during her long teaching career.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W. at Windermere, east of the Jane subway, on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Panachyda 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday December 27, 2018 from St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 143 Franklin Ave., at 10 a.m. followed by interment at St. Volodymyr Cemetery in Oakville.

20 грудня 2018 року відійшла у вічність Ірина Кравець. Відвідування в каплиці Тернер і Портер Йорк, 2357 Bloor St. W., на схід від метро Jane, у середу 26 грудня з 2-ї до 4-ї та з 6-ї до 9-ї вечора. Панахида о 19:30. Похорони відбудуться в четвер, 27 грудня в катедрі св. Йосафата, вул. Франклін 143, о 10:00. Поховання на кладовищі св. Володимира в Oakville.

Замість квітів, будь ласка, складіть пожертви на Рідну Школу, або Sick Kids Hospital.

Dear family! We were profoundly saddened upon hearing of the loss of your dear mother still so young and with so much to give and get out of life! We remember her from when she came to Canada, a dynamic spirit dedicated to the Ukrainian language and to the education of the hundreds of children she came to teach, both in Saturday schools and in day schools, including UNF Toronto West Ridna Shkola (where she eventually became the principal) and Josyf Cardinal Slipyj School. She is very fondly remembered by our own children, especially for being so kind during always challenging French lessons! Please accept our heartfelt sympathies and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this especially difficult time! Pani Irena will always be remembered and her light will continue to shine through her children, grandchildren, and her many grateful students. Heavenly reposе!

Дорога родино! Ми були глибоко засмучені, почувши про втрату вашої дорогої мами ще так молодо і маючи ще стільки, чого віддати зі себе та здобути з життя! Ми пам'ятаємо її, коли тільки приїхала до Канади, динамічна душа, присвячена вивченню української мови і віддана вчителька сотень дітей, як у суботній школі, так і в денній, включно з Рідною Школою УНО Торонто Захід (де згодом стала директоркою) та школою ім. Йосифа Кардинала Сліпого. Вона дуже люб'язно запам'ятовується нашими власними дітьми, особливо тому, що стільки ласки виявляла під час завжди складних уроків французької мови! Прийміть наші найщиріші співчуття і знайте, що наші думки і молитви з вами в цей особливо важкий час! Пам`ять про пані Ірену буде завжди вічною, а її світлість продовжуватиме сяяти через її дітей, онуків і її вдячних учнів. Царство Небесне!

In Loving Memory of Iryna Kravetz,
A truly wonderful and awesome person, woman, wife, daughter, mother , friend and colleague.
My heartfelt and deepest condolences to the Kravetz family!
Truthfully, I’m in a state of shock and cannot believe this incredibly sad news!
I had the privilege of teaching with Iryna for many years. It was always a pleasure to be in her company on a professional and personal level. We supported each other’s teaching styles. Being a Principal for 12 years with Ridna Shkola Ukrainian School, I decided to retire and pass the torch to Iryna to be the Principal at Ridna Shkola UNF West! In addition, she was an excellent and highly respected French teacher.
Fondly, remembering our staff meetings, concerts and discussions.
May God Bless Iryna and provide her with peace on her way to be with the Lord!
May God Bless provide peace and comfort to her family during this difficult time!
