On June 20, 2024, in her 82nd year, Irene passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side and has gone to be with her Lord and Saviour.

Beloved wife of 56 years to Murray, devoted mother to Gail, Suzanna (Michael), Raphael (Savitri), proud Grandma to Kristi (Rob) and Craig (Edyta), loving Great-Grandma to Tyler and Emma and Aunt to Andrew.

Irene was born in Trinidad and had an active upbringing with her brother Angus, sister Virginia (Pam) and Catherine (Ayune). The Dougdeen family made Canada their new home in 1970.

Irene’s loving, kind and generous nature endeared her to everyone she met.

Friends and family may call at the Turner & Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel at 1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, June 27 2024.

Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church at 295 Queen Street South, Mississauga/Streetsville at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 28 2024.

Interment Streetsville Cemetery, 1786 Bristol Road West, Streetsville.
