In Celebration of

Irene Leona Cieciura

December 27, 1944 -  February 13, 2025

It is with profound sadness the family of Irene Cieciura (nee. Wojcik) announce her passing on February 13th, 2025 at the age of 80 after a valiant fight with ALS.

Irene passed away peacefully at home with Ted by her side just as she had wanted. Born in Toronto to her late parents John and Stella Wojcik, on December 27th, 1944. Her life was enriched with love, family, friends, career, pets, and adventures.

Irene is survived by her husband Ted and her children TJ (Nadine) and Amy (Anthony). Cherished Babci to Kayla, Mia, Avery and AJ. Irene was sister to Dianne Holowka (Ron) and Christine Wilson (John).

Irene and Ted were inseparable! They enjoyed travelling all over the world and a lot of time on Georgian Bay and the Chalet at Beaver Valley. Their home was a happy home, always a welcome open door to all family and friends. Moreso, Babci always enjoyed the presence of her grandchildren, ensuring treats, including hand baked chocolate chip cookies and banana bread, were always available.

Irene will be greatly missed by family and friends. Family was everything to Irene and she loved her family with grace and class that was unmatched.

Irene, may the angels welcome you. Rest in peace. Your parents are waiting to see you again in heaven with open arms. We will have you in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be Tuesday February 18th, 2025 from 2-4 pm and 6-8:00 pm. Prayers to follow for those who wish at 8:15pm, at Turner & Porter Peel Chapel 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga.

Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday February 19th, 2025 at 9:30 am at St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish, 4260 Cawthra Road in Mississauga. A reception will immediately follow at the Saint Pope John Paul II Polish Cultural Centre beside the church.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to ALS Canada at www.als.ca
