I. Roy and Mary (nee Mizutani) Matsui

July 3, 2019

Died peacefully together in their sleep after 68 happy years of marriage. Loving parents of Naomi Carol (Wayne) and their daughter Roya; Barry (Giselle) and their daughter Michelle. Mary is survived by her sister Dorothy Yama and her brother Frank Mizutani. Roy was predeceased by his siblings Chikuma, Toshiro, Mine, Yone and Kiyo. Roy and Mary will be fondly remembered by their extended families. Mary was an educator, musician and skier. Roy was an architect, WWII veteran, avid skier and fisherman. Together they loved to travel around the world. A celebration of their lives will be held this Fall. Donations in their memory may be made to the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre.

Mary was a wonderful teacher and musician. I being on staff with her for many years enjoyed her talents and good sense of humour. She was very devoted to Roy and her family.
