Hope Mary Kraus

July 9, 1938 - September 3, 2019

Peacefully, on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Kraus. Loving mother of Jo-Anne Kidd (Dave) and the late Debbie Oswin. Dear sister of Luba (Lee Nickerson). Tita Hopey, to all her nieces and nephews.

She loved life to the fullest, always smiling, joking and singing. Her time was spent volunteering and caring for others. The best mother a daughter could ever have, we will miss her forever.
Thank you to the staff at The Village of Erin Meadows in Mississauga, for the last 6 years of her life which was full of fun, laughter, singing, dancing and winning Bingo.

A special thanks to the Sheridan Neighbourhood team for all the love and care they showed towards Hope. It will never be forgotten.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter ‘Neweduk-Erin Mills’ Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga (east of Erin Mills Pkwy), on Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral will be held in the Chapel, on Friday, September 20, 2019, at 11 a.m.
Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.

Aunt Hope,
I have so many memories of you growing up, at the cottage with all the cousins, and your love for telling a good joke!
I remember you were at the house for dad's retirement get together and you and Gord were in line getting food. As Gord was heaping food on his plate you said to him, "what a pig!" Gord was a little surprised as he didn't quite know your humor back then, but we always still laugh about that to this day!
Aunt Hope, I'm "hoping" both you and mom had a wonderful reunion in heaven and looking firward to seeing the rest of us!
