In Celebration of

Hilda Medeiros

December 17, 1932 -  August 1, 2020

With heavy hearts, we wish to announce the passing of our beloved mother, on Saturday, August 1st, 2020.

She passed suddenly, but peacefully in the arms of her eldest son, at the Family Farm, which was her very favourite place.

Hilda (nee Camara) was the devoted wife to our father George Medeiros who predeceased her in January of 2019.

She was the loving mother to John, Beverly Williams, and her husband Garry, Alice Davis, and her husband Michael, Pauline, Dennis, and his wife Mychelle.

She leaves behind a legacy of love at being the VAVOA to her 6 grandchildren: Dr. Jennifer Das (Dr. Paul Das), The Late Matthew Davis, Alyson Williams (David Susman), Christopher Williams, Kathleen Gearhart (Tom), and Tanner Williams.

Her 7 great grandchildren, which were her absolute pride and Joy: Lilah, Aven, Ella, Amelia, Luca, Madin, and Davis.

Predeceased by all her brothers and oldest sister, she leaves to mourn her sisters and sister’s in law both here in Canada and the USA.

Mom and Dad spent over 30 years, happily building their Country home and enjoying the bounty of their gardens. They leave behind a legacy of dear friends and neighbours, with whom, made their retirement years, the best spent of their lives.

Our mother leaves with us a shining example of what love, patience, strength, compassion, and devotion should be.

Arrangements under the direction of Turner & Porter, Erin Mills Chapel, Mississauga

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Streetsville.

Interment will follow in Streetsville Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband. Hardworking hands at rest, together, once more.

In lieu of flowers, which our mother dearly loved, any charity done in her name or a simple act of kindness to one another, would be the most fitting tribute to a life well-lived.

I will forever have you in my heart Tia. You left behind a beautiful family who will carry your legacy and hopefully continue to build your beautiful country home. You will be missed dearly. Your energy and love for life went unnoticed. I have a beautiful tree that both you and tio George donated when I was first married and it continues to grow in my backyard. It is not just a tree but a symbol of your charity and love. Thank you for being part of our lives and inserting us with all your goodness
