In Celebration of

Hien Vinh Nguyen

March 5, 1962 -  August 3, 2024

On Saturday, August 3rd, at the age of 62. Hien leaves behind his beloved wife of 34 years, Lien. Loving father to Catherine, Carol, and Phillip. Adoring father-in-law to Nhu.

During the Vietnam War, Hien left at a young age in search of a better life in Canada. After overcoming many adversities as an immigrant, he met his lovely wife Lien and had three wonderful children.

His hobbies included travelling, swimming, soccer and volleyball. He often reminisced about his potential for being selected for the National Vietnam Soccer Team. He was extremely adventurous and always open to new experiences.

For most of his career, he worked at Omron and Canadian Hospital Specialities Ltd. He was a great husband and father and continued to support his family until the end.

Hien frequently enjoyed the company of his friends and family and will be forever missed by many.

Friends may visit the Turner and Porter Neweduk - Erin Mills Chapel (1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga) on Thursday, August 8th, from 2-4:30pm and 6-8pm. There will be a religious service between 4:30-6pm.

Funeral Mass will be held at Saviour of the World Catholic Church (1212 Melton Drive, Mississauga) on Friday, August 9th at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens.

I'm deeply sorry for your loss. Your dad was always so welcoming and kind to me from the very beginning, and it was easy to see how much he loved his family. I'll always remember his unique sense of humor and how he made me feel like part of the family on multiple occasions. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
