Gayle, Martha, and families:
Such sad and shocking news. I'm so sorry for this tremendous loss. Circumstances didn't bring Doug and I together often in our adult lives, but I think back to the younger years so fondly and remember the fun and shenanigans during the Crystal Lake years. Such a lovely funny, kind, and peaceful man. Sending you my deepest sympathy and love,
Jo & Harold

Doug was a lovely quiet guy with a wonderful sense of humour and smile. He was a genuine, kind and very sincere man. He and my husband Phil were friends since they were children and shared a great friendship over the years. Doug will be missed greatly by all of us who knew him and loved him. God bless you and comfort you Gayle in your tremendous loss of your best friend and husband.

Doug was a few years older than me. As kids he was one of my cool older cousins. I fondly remember Doug "pressing his hair" on the couch before he went out for the evening. Doug was always kind to me growing up and I will always remember his warm smile and his quick wit.
Love cousin Tim.
