Tanta Helga was my precious aunt and was so special to me. I loved her dearly and treasure all my memories of her.
As a child, I was always in awe of her beautiful blonde hair, heels, red lipstick, beautiful clothes, gold jewelry and warm smile and I owe much of my love for shoes, red lipstick, clothes and gold jewelry directly to the impact she had on me.

I cherish all the holidays and visits we had together and especially the last one we had in January not realizing that this would be the last time I would see her.

My prayers are for God's comfort, peace and grace to be on the family and especially on my uncle Bernie as he continues his journey without her by his side.

You will be missed Tanta Helga, you were a significant woman in my life and I was so blessed to have you as my precious Tanta.

It is hard to describe the loss of my sister, Helga, especially in light of the fact that less then a year and a half ago, I lost my oldest sister. It is a heavy burden to bear except for the fond memories that remain and to reflect on the realization that God has the final say and that brings me peace.
