Our deepest condolences from the entire Gruchala family in Toronto, Ottawa
and North Vancouver.
Throughout their lives, sisters Janina and Helena's lives were closely intertwined, never far apart one from the other whether it was in Poland, Germany, Scotland or in Canada. With their different personalities, they didn't always agree, but they did look out for each other. This was especially true during the difficult times they encountered during World War II after they were removed from their family home, barely out of their teens, and placed into forced labour. They endured and survived that in tact, together.
Rest in peace Ciocia! Your sister, our mama, is once again nearby.
