In Celebration of

Helen Zelger

March 12, 1931 -  March 6, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her family, on March 6, 2025 in Oakville. She is reunited with her husband, Frank Zelger, to whom she was lovingly married to for fifty years before his sudden passing in 2003.

Beautiful mother to Deborah Stanaitis (John) and Christine Quinlan (Shawn). A very special Oma, loved by her grandchildren Ian (Candace), Jillian, Benjamin, Olivia and the late Christopher. A proud great-grandmother to Pierce and Seth.

Born in Salzburg, Austria, she was the middle child of Josef and Elise Polt. She was predeceased by her older sister, Paula Gluck, and younger brother, Hermann Polt.

As we say goodbye, we honor Helen’s memory by carrying forward the love she so freely shared. You were so loved and will be missed deeply. You will always be in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario.

A funeral mass will be held at St Christopher’s Parish at 1171 Clarkson Road North, Mississauga at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 14th, 2025. Interment will follow at Springcreek Cemetery.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff of the Maple Unit at Post Inn Village, Oakville, for the compassionate care and kindness they showed Helen and her family.

Rest peacefully in God's care dear Helen. You brought so much joy to all who knew you and you made the world a better place with your loving personality.
I will always cherish the memories of you, especially those of the cottage life & most lovingly of the many Christmas gatherings our families shared.
May you now enjoy reuniting with all those who have passed before you, especially your loving husband Frank. Oh, the rapture of that meeting & the joy to see you come!
You are now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last. Rest peacefully dear angel. xoxoxoxo
