In Celebration of

Hector Cipriani

June 17, 1934 -  October 31, 2024

We are saddened by the loss of our Father, Tio, Abuelo, and Dear Friend Hector Cipriani who passed away peacefully in his sleep in early hours of October 31st at the Mississauga Hospital.

Hector was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on June 17 1934 where he met and married the love of his life Maria Rosa in 1958. Proud Father of Patricia (Reeve) and Biby he was always looking for the opportunity to travel and see the world. That journey brought the Family to Canada in 1980 where they met, what would become, life-long friends from Argentina and they made plans to settle. Becoming Canadian Citizen soon after Hector remained committed to helping his girls thrive in their adopted home. His skill as a “Chapista” (Collison Repairman) in Canada lead to a successful career and as the Family grew, he was always there to help us through the good and not so good time.

Throughout the 80’s and 90’s Hector was very active in the Argentinian community and proudly participated in events all over the GTA. True to his heritage Hector was an avid Tango dancer, an expert Asador and a Fanatic for his beloved Argentina Football Team. His 4-year dream came true for one last time during the World Cup in 2022. We all thought his heart wouldn’t survive during finals, but when it was over he was already thinking about what the Team would look like in 2026.

In retirement Hector and Maria spent countless days re-visiting all the places they had travelled to during their lifetime and whether in Spain, the Caribbean, South America or Cruising they loved being somewhere hot and sandy where they connected with old
friends or made new ones. One of his fondest memories was his time vacationing in Florida back in the 80’s with his three Girls. Over the past few years he enjoyed a simple afternoon with Maria at the Bingo, or connecting with the folks at the Seniors center.
Hector will be missed by all of us and leaves behind a legacy of 7 Grandchildren, Andy (Marie), Lisa (Michael), Naethen (Natalie) and Tyler and 7 Great Grandchildren, Zoey, Lucy, Nella, Mila, Jasper, Fabian and Domenic that will fondly remember Abuelo’s smile,
swagger and charm.

In lieu of flowers, the Family requests donations to be made to Canadian Cancer Society.

We are very thankful to the Staff at The Mississauga Hospital where they allowed all of us unlimited access to be by his side during his final days.
