In Celebration of

Hazel McVicar

November 11, 1920 -  June 11, 2018

Passed away peacefully on Monday June 11, 2018 at the age of 97. Predeceased by her beloved husband Robert John “Jack” (1993), her sons Robert John “Jack” II (2015) and Richard Gary “Rick” (2016). Loving mother of Diane Susan (Murray) Brooks. Missed by her daughter-in- law Bonnie McVicar. Dear Nana of Rob McVicar, Ryan Gillespie and Susan Andrus (Paul Jenkins). Loving Great Nana of Destiny Doran and Jesse McVicar. Dear sister of Bob (Diane) Sandberg and predeceased by her sisters Sigrid Thorsteinson and Alphild Hooey .

Her beautiful smile could light up a room and the kindness in her heart touched many. May we take comfort knowing that she has joined her loving parents and sisters and beloved husband and sons.

If friends so desire, memorial donations can be made to a charity of choice.

A Mother’s “Helping Heart”
A mother really knows you,
A mother really cares –
She keeps you in her fondest thoughts
And always in her prayers.
She loves you very dearly,
As she has right from the start,
And she’s the one you turn to
When you need a “helping heart.”
