In Celebration of

Hartmut Gerlach

August 13, 1958 -  March 23, 2021

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Hart Gerlach. Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Rosa, Hart is sadly mourned by his brother Herbert, nephew Ryan, partner Joan, and many others.

After graduating from Burnhamthorpe Collegiate Institute, Hart earned a post-secondary degree at Ryerson and would go on to put his impressive technical skills to use throughout his career with organizations like Siemens and Canadian Blood Services. Hart was a kind soul, avid sports fan, and talented athlete who possessed a great sense of humour. Hart will be forever missed and always held dear in the hearts of his family and friends.

A private visitation will be held at Turner and Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel and Hart will be laid to rest at Sanctuary Park Cemetery. The family asks that any donations in Hart's honour go towards the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Joan,
I'm still in shock about this. Hart was a great guy and gave you all the love you deserved. Next time I go to Germany I'll be taking him with me in my heart.
All my love,
Charlotte

Dear Herb, Joan, Ryan and family

Please accept our sincerest condolences. Hart was a very special person and will be greatly missed. He was always very positive and his positive energy seemed to flow towards everyone around him. Hart loved sports and music and we were blessed to be able to attend many sporting events and concerts together. He was always smiling which made the day much brighter every time you saw him.
