Harriet Whitney

September 10, 1934 -  February 7, 2019

Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on Thursday, February 7, 2019. Beloved wife of Donald Whitney. Loving mother of Heide and Julian Fediow. Predeceased by her husband Stanley Walter Fediow. Also predeceased by her loving sister Alfreda Rohr and her dear parents Julian and Ann Rohr. Remembered by her cousin Victor and many nieces and nephews. Harriet was a long time member of the Boulevard Club and though she no longer played tennis, Harriet continued to enjoy watching all the major tournaments. Since the age of 10 Harriet spent every summer at the family cottage in Wasaga Beach. She will be dearly missed by her neighbors and friends. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel at 4933 Dundas St. W., (between Kipling & Islington Aves.) Etobicoke on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 11 a.m. For those who wish, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation or the CNIB On-line condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca.

We were surprised to hear of Harriet’s passing. Although she had been in hospital for the past few months, we thought her health was improving. Our thoughts are with her husband, Don, and her children, Heide and Jay.
