In Celebration of

Hans Grottke

April 7, 1930 -  September 19, 2024

“Frail as old, bleached bone are memories of the mind
Brittle and fragile they crumble to dust
And leave no remnant behind
But memories that live within the heart
Treasured and nurtured, they grow and thrive
Resonate strong with every beat
And faithfully keep your love alive”

Dearest Hans

You are forever in our hearts

To our dear Uncle Hans, thank you for the many years of memories and for being such a great support to mom. Such a tough old bird. We can only dream of living as long and as full a life as you. Rest in peace.

I remember meeting your Dad in Montreal all those many years ago. I loved his sense of humour. And I remember his column dealing with horse racing. I know for a fact Gerry’s Dad enjoyed his columns as he was an avid fan of horse racing.
Gina and Lisa our deepest condolences to you and your families during this very sad time. May you seek comfort in time with your memories of your Dad.

Hans was a great man. He loved life and horses. I remember him always having a story about harness racing. RIP my friend you will be missed.

I sadly lost track of Hans somewhere along the way. He was a gracious presence at St. Clement Parish. I will offer a Mass for the the repose of his soul. May he rest in peace.
