Our Aunt Gwen was not only the Matriarch of the Hubbard Gang but she was also the beloved Matriarch of the Richards Clan. One of 7 brothers and sisters, Aunt Gwen was the youngest and the last to survive. Aunt Gwen was 95. The youngest and some of us would say the most fun. Certainly, she was the first to make you feel good about yourself and as the spiritual head of the In-laws, she was also the first to welcome new folks marrying into the Clan. The love of Aunt Gwen's life was Uncle Doug. He was the life of the party at family events and a Champion of the OutLaws. We will miss them both dearly.
Our Matriarch is gone and this sadly marks the end of an era. Aunt Gwen had a long and happy life. Her joy was her family. We have all been blessed by being on the receiving end of her love, her gorgeous smile, and her infectious hugs. We can all take some comfort in knowing how important we all were to her and that the obvious love and affection for her from the whole of the extended family brought her a lifetime of joy.
Auntie Gwen, always greeting with the biggest smile and ready with a hug (whenever, wherever). Together again with all your siblings and I'm sure you are bringing everyone up to speed with all the news from down here. Give Mom and Edith a huge hug for me over a cup of tea.
Forever in our hearts and memories. Love You and Miss You.
I first met Gwen through NMAC playing bridge. She was a delightful friend, Edna Gwen and I would love to go out for lunch together. We could laugh about absolutely nothing and have a wonderful time. Rest In Peace Gwen.

We are saddened by the passing of our illustrious Gwen. Despite her having reached an impressive 95 years, it is always a surprise to accept that someone has left us. Just looking at her photos brings her delightful laughter and smile back to mind. I have so many memories of seeing her engaged and chatting animatedly with everyone she came into contact with, she was such a beam of joy and good humor.
All our thoughts are with her immediate family at this time, and we look forward to being able to celebrate her extraordinary life as an extended family unit in the near future.
Sincerely,
Laura, Roger, Liam and Eric Clements/Jose.
Lots of fond memories from our time in Toronto
