In Celebration of
Guido Biocca
January 23, 1940 -
October 29, 2020
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Guido Biocca, at the age of 80 on October 29, 2020. Guido passed away suddenly at Credit Valley Hospital with his three daughters by his side, after complications suffered due to liver disease.
Beloved husband of Luigia (Ginette, predeceased 2013), devoted and loving father of daughter Victoria with husband Chris, daughter Antonina with husband Mike and daughter Nancy with husband Rob. Cherished grandfather of Stefanie, Alexandra, Nicolas, Madalen and Julia. Dearest brother of Piacentina, Nino and Giovanna (Jenny). Beloved uncle to many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Dad was tireless in providing for and protecting his family for his entire life. All that knew him loved his companionship, his generosity and his love of life. He was a humble man who put others before himself, right until the very end of his life.
He always inspired us to work hard and accomplish our goals, because “you have the capacity for that and for so much more.” He was tireless in guiding us, just as the definition of his name directed him, and always taught family love, respect and honour. One of his most favourite things was our large family gatherings, and having everyone together: nothing made him happier to be surrounded with family and friends. His unconditional love was felt by all.
The person he chose to be, and the way he lived his life has guaranteed that Heaven has gained another angel, and if we know our Dad, they are having one heck of a wild party. So many family members and friends who have predeceased him are now whooping it up in Heaven, with him and Mom.
Here on earth, we will struggle with the unbelievable loss and the inexpressible void we feel in our hearts. We know that he will be with us through our lives here, and one day, with the good grace of God, we will once again be reunited with him and our Mom.
We love you Dad, and our hearts ache with this loss. Please give our love to all in Heaven, and know that we miss you all already.
You will never be forgotten, and we promise that your legacy will live on for generations to come.
A private visitation for family will be held at Turner & Porter Peel Chapel on Friday, November 6, 2020. Funeral Mass to be held at Merciful Redeemer Church in Mississauga on Saturday, November 7, 2020, followed by the entombment at Glen Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery.
If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society, with our thanks in advance.
