In Celebration of

Graeme Simpson

August 19, 1948 -  February 23, 2025

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Graeme Simpson on February 23, 2025 at the age of 76.

Graeme was a loving husband, dad and grandpa. He will be greatly missed by Millie, his wife of 35 years, children Derek (Devon), Jeremy (Amanda) and Pamela (Barret), as well as his much loved grandkids Owen, Avery and Olive. Graeme is also survived by his sister Heather.

We will all miss his great sense of humour and definitely his ‘groaners’ that he emailed to all regularly.

After receiving his Masters Degree in Philosophy, which he considered one of his proudest moments, Graeme went on to a long career as a Human Resources executive and then pivoted and became a professor at Humber College passing on his tremendous HR knowledge to a fresh group of professionals.

Graeme will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all his family and friends.

In accordance with Graeme’s wishes, a private family funeral will be held with cremation to follow.

If you’d like to make a donation in Graeme’s memory please consider the Humane Society.

My beloved, caring, warm and heartfelt condolences to Millie and her entire family. Graeme was a beautiful man, inside and out, and lived a full life surrounded by amazing people. I send my prayers, positive and very high vibrations to Millie and her family during this time and recognize what a beautiful soul Graeme was to everyone around him. The lessons he taught us all was to live life to the fullest and be all that you can be. Through his life, he has been an amazing demonstration of kindness and good cheer. He was remarkable, beautiful and knew how to make others laugh.

I'm so sorry to learn this sad news. I have fond memories of working with Graeme about 20 years ago, when I was hired as a part-time instructor in the Human Resources post-graduate program. I appreciated Graeme's guidance, advice, and support especially as I navigated my way through my first term. I'll always remember his calm demeanour and sincere focus on making the world a better place. My condolences to his family and to his friends.
