We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Graciela Garay, who left us peacefully at home, on February 10th, 2024, at the age of 100. Beloved mother to Clara (Juan), Hernan (Lily), and Roberto (Aura). Cherished grandmother to Sebastian (Marijana), Otto (Veronica), Hernan (Leiri), Patricia, Kristo, Karina, Ulisses, Carlos, Laurie Ann, Robert and Daniel. She is predeceased by her husband Rafael, her son Gabriel, and her siblings Hernando, Sara, and Enrique.

“Abi”, as she was known to close family and friends, was an incredibly sweet and special person who even at 100 years old never missed an opportunity to provide a warm smile or tender hug to her loved ones. She will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace.

Family and friends are invited to join us at Turner & Porter "Neweduk-Erin Mills" Chapel (1981 Dundas St W, Mississauga) on Saturday, February 24th, from 2-3 p.m. with a Service of Remembrance to follow at 3 p.m. A livestream link will be provided for those unable to join us in person.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.


Con inmenso dolor compartimos la noticia del fallecimiento de Graciela Garay, quien falleció tranquilamente en casa el 10 de febrero, 2024, a la edad de 100 años. Querida mama de Clara (Juan), Hernán (Lily), y Roberto (Aura). Amada abuelita a Sebastian (Marijana), Otto (Veronica), Hernan (Leiri), Patricia, Kristo, Karina, Ulisses, Carlos, Laurie Ann, Robert y Daniel. Su esposo Rafael, hijo Gabriel, y hermanos Hernando, Sara, y Enrique fallecidos.

“Abi”, como la llamaban su familia y amigos cercanos, era una persona muy especial que hasta a los 100 años nunca perdió una oportunidad de darle una tierna sonrisa o abrazo a sus seres queridos. La extrañaremos muchísimo. Que descanse en paz.

Familia y amigos son invitados a compartir con nosotros un servicio en Turner & Porter Neweduk Chapel (1981 Dundas St W, Mississauga) el sábado, febrero 24, de 2-4pm (2-3pm visitación; 3-4pm servicio católico).
