Grace Okolie

February 10, 1940 -  February 21, 2025

Grace Okolie, 85, of Mississauga, passed away peacefully at home on February 21, 2025.

Grace is predeceased in death by Alfred Okolie. Grace is survived by her children Jude (Zoe), Anthony (Ebele Ola), Virginia (Chima Nsitem), and Sophia. She was a loving grandmother to Kelachi, Chimele, Anyaowa, and Anwuli.

Grace Okolie was born in Ogwash-uku, Nigeria, on February 10, 1940. She studied to be a teacher in Nigeria. She married Alfred Okolie on August 13, 1966 in Gambia. She graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelors in Arts, English Major, in May 1977. She was known for her fashionable dressing, traditional dance moves, and fine cooking of all Nigerian dishes. She was involved in many Igbo community activities in Ottawa. She was a Eucharistic minister and Catechism teacher at St. Peter’s Parish in Ottawa. She volunteered for the Kidney Foundation and The Legion of Mary.

She will be deeply missed but not forgotten.
