In Celebration of

Gordon John Ferris

August 1, 1942 -  August 28, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gord "Gordie", while cruising on his beloved Harley, Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the age of 82.

His zest for life, fun-loving nature, and love for the open road will continue to live on, in those of us he left behind. He loved his family and did his best to stay connected.

He will be sadly missed by his partner Silvana and her son Chris. Forever cherished by his son (Gordon) Michael and daughter-in-law Hilary. Warmly remembered as Papa Gord to grandchildren Mitchell (wife Michaela), Bryn, James, Orly, and Sage, as well as his great-grand-daughters Harlow, Sloane, and Monroe.

Deeply loved and missed by his daughter Lisa and son-in-law Les.

Lovingly remembered by his sister Jessie and brother-in-law David, sister Brenda and brother-in-law Robert, and brother Greg and his partner Lee Ann. He is also missed by his 7 nieces and nephews, and 6 great nieces and nephews.

Fondly remembered by Nancy, mother to his children he loved so much.

Gord was very warm and charismatic, making friends easily. He was always willing to lend a hand, whether you were friends or family, as he saw it as fun, quality time. He was very creative, inventive and often thought outside the box. His love for motorcycle riding started around age 14 and continued throughout his life. His big laugh will live on in our hearts.

As per his wishes, no funeral will be held. He did, however, want a Celebration. This event will be held in one of his favourite places, The Brogue Irish Pub, in Port Credit on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 2-6 PM.

Please feel free to make donations in Gord's honour to The Salvation Army, or Jumpstart, or to any organization that is close to your heart.

Dear Brenda and extended family,

Please know that we are thinking of you each day since we heard the news. May the passing of time begin to ease the sadness, you are feeling and bring you peace. I know you will have lots of sweet memories of Gord as you grew up together as siblings and even into adult life. Cherish those moments.

Love,
Rea and Chris
