In Celebration of

Gojko Pavlica

February 17, 1932 -  September 30, 2019

Born on February 17, 1932 in the small but vibrant village of Pocitelj, Lika, in the former Yugoslavia, Gojko emigrated to Canada with his wife and daughter in 1970.

With his kind nature, strong personal and work ethic, keen curiosity and sense of fun, Gojko was loved and respected by his family, many friends and neighbours throughout his life.

Gojko did not let his many illnesses, including Parkinson’s, keep him down and, with his usual discipline and drive, he was proudly able to stay on his feet to the end, when he died on September 30th with his daughter by his side.

He will be deeply missed and never forgotten by his daughter Dusanka, his granddaughter Maja, his sister Marija, his nephews and nieces, and all those whose lives he touched. He was a truly good man, a loving father and grandfather, a devoted sibling, a great uncle, a supportive friend, and a dedicated husband to his late wife Milena.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel at 4933 Dundas St. W., (between Kipling & Islington Aves.) Etobicoke on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at All Serbian Saints Orthodox Church, 2520 Dixie Rd., on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., Interment St. John’s Dixie Cemetery.
